Just upgraded xtrasue.com to WordPress 2.7, and I think the design is getting a little long in the tooth, so I’ll be creating a new theme this weekend. And yes, I know we could use some new content! So, new posts coming soon, too, I promise.
Welcome to my new theme. It’s my first WordPress theme ever. I call it “One.” Clever, huh?
Note that if this page does not resemble the screenshot shown here, then I must have moved on to another theme. OR, you might be using the extremely lame and buggy Internet Explorer, where it doesn’t work as of right this second. I’ll have to work on that later, though, because right now I’m starving.
So would you let me know what you think of One, please? I wouldn’t be surprised if I missed something.
You know what would be cool? Subtitles. Maybe I’ll work on a plugin for them. Or maybe there already is one. Hmmm.
Check this out: so far, after one day of tracking with Google Analytics, I’ve had three visitors. That’s pretty good! And even better, NOT ONE was using Internet Exploder. I love you, man! (whoever you are)
Number two was Google Analytics for Word Press by Joost de Valk. Joost is a Dutch SEO and web developer. His blog looks to be interesting!
The first plugin I installed was FAlbum by RandomByte. It’s a Flickr album feed.
Obviously, I need a new a template, or theme as they’re called in WP Land. I’ll be making my own soon, and until it’s ready, I’ll be on the lookout for interesting ones to steal. And by steal, I mean free download. I’m totally new to Word Press, so feel free to alert me to useful resources.
